UBTC was founded in1999, initially operating a one boat service from South East to Central London.Today UBTC has a fleet of 23 vessels, serves 24 piers and carries over 5million passengers, providing a unique transport offering to London's commutersand visitors, connecting them to their homes, places of work and river-sideattractions, in an environment that is unmatched by any other form of Londontransport. UBTC operates the only commuter service on the Thames and occupies adistinct market position for tourist and visitor experiences by linking themajority of riverside attractions. The business is now excited to be adding anExclusive Café Bar at Embankment Pier in an ideal location for servicingcommuters, local offices & theatres.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Theproduction and delivery of drinks / food in line with brand standards &recipes and in compliance with relevant food safety and alcohol licensing laws.
  • Tounderstand and follow the procedures to ensure that all transactions arerecorded accurately and to make all reasonable efforts to ensure stock isnot lost or stolen.
  • Toprovide a 'world class' standard of customer service at all times, beingproactive in offering customer information
  • To prepareserve food and beverages to customers following the presentation guidelines setout in line with our brand standards and answer questions about products.
  • Clearingtables & cleaning food surface areas regularly to maintain a high level ofcleanliness & hygiene
  • Operatingthe dishwasher in order to ensure there is an ample supply of glassware,crockery & service utensils
  • Tofollow food hygiene / safety procedures in line with health and safetyrequirements e.g temperature
  • Toensure sales of alcohol are completed responsibly and in line with licencingrequirements e.g Challenge 25.
  • Togreet all customers with a friendly welcome and explore their requirements forfood and drink.
  • Toprocess all sales through the EPOS system and ensure payment is taken andrecorded in full.
  • Tomaximise the profitability of your sales by offering suitable 'add-ons' whichcould enhance the customer's enjoyment of their purchase. For example, a pastrywith a coffee.
  • To minimiselosses by taking all reasonable steps to ensure stock is not lost, stolen ordamaged.
  • Workingalongside the rest of the facilities team to ensure that the daily, weekly& monthly cleaning programme is followed and kept to a high standard ofcleanliness at all times during service
  • To monitor& replenish stock as required and ensure appropriate displays of food,beverages & merchandise.
  • Reportto line manager any feedback, complaints, suggestions, stock requirements,breakages, faults or hazards identified during the course of work
  • To take part in monthlydrills to ensure emergency preparedness, and maintain an accurate log of thesesessions.

  • The abilityto work flexible hours and shifts which may include early mornings, latenights, weekends and bank holidays

  • Previous,relevant working experience within a Customer / Food Service environment
