They're looking for a Buying Manager to take ownership of multiple FMCG categories, lead a small team, and drive commercial performance across the portfolio. The Role- Lead and develop FMCG categories within a wholesale environment
- Manage, coach, and develop a small buying team
- Own supplier strategy, relationships, and performance across key accounts
- Negotiate pricing, promotions, rebates, and long term commercial agreements
- Use data and insight to drive range optimisation, margin improvement, and growth
- Align closely with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain to deliver commercial plans
- Drive new product introduction and category development
- Oversee stock performance, availability, and demand planning inputs
- Proven experience in a Buying Manager / Senior Buyer / Category Manager role within FMCG, wholesale, or retail
- Leadership experience - able to develop and get the best out of a team
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of improving margin and performance
- Confident negotiator with experience managing key supplier relationships
- Analytical mindset - able to turn data into actionable decisions
- Comfortable operating in a fast paced, evolving environment
- Genuine leadership role with team and category ownership
