We are seeking a skilled and reliable Butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in meat cutting, preparation, and display, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Cut, trim, debone, and prepare various types of meat (beef, pork, poultry, lamb, etc.)
- Maintain proper portion control and presentation standards
- Ensure all meat is handled, stored, and displayed according to food safety regulations
- Assist customers with meat selection, cutting requests, and cooking recommendations
- Operate knives, saws, grinders, and other meat-processing equipment safely
- Keep work areas clean, sanitized, and well-stocked
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or excess stock
- Follow health, hygiene, and workplace safety standards
- Previous butcher or meat-cutting experience preferred (training may be provided)
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of different cuts of meat
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to X lbs)
- Attention to detail and commitment to food safety
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a cold environment and stand for extended periods
