Position

As Business Unit Manager, you will be responsible for managing a specialized laboratory of approximately 20 highly educated professionals (MSc/PhD level). The lab provides advanced analytical services for clients in the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership & Business Development by defining and executing the strategic roadmap of the Business Unit
• Scientific & Technical Innovation by strengthening the scientific service portfolio
• Financial Management: full P&L responsibility for the Business Unit
• Operational & Team Leadership
• Compliance & Quality: ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and safety standards

Candidate profile

You are an entrepreneurial leader with a clear understanding of complex laboratory operations. You are business minded with a drive for innovation. You are ready to take the next step in your career by building on your scientific expertise and leadership experience to grow a business unit within a global organization.

• MSc or PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific field.
• Strong operational management experience in a laboratory in a (bio)pharmaceutical setting.
• Experience with P&L responsibility preferred.
• Solid-state characterization expertise is a plus.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
