About the roleAn opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a Business Support Officer to join the Business Support Team for the Electrical Engineering Team, based at our Leeming Bar Depot. The role involves providing high quality, professional support to a range of operational teams within the Environment Service, liaising with internal and external customers. You must be able to prioritise demanding workloads and work effectively as part of a team to ensure deadlines are achieved.
This position offers an introduction to how the Business Support and Electrical Engineering teams work together, supporting the community and an opportunity to develop knowledge and understanding that may lead to further development in Business Support or a career within the Electrical Engineering teams.
About you- Highly motivated administrator with excellent customer care skills, capable of liaising with customers and other agencies on behalf of the operational team.
- Experience with confidential and sensitive information, both written and verbal, and interaction with members of the public and professionals.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office packages and other ICT tools.
- Experience supporting the Area Leadership Team in reclaiming charges brought against the council.
- Respectful of confidentiality and knowledgeable of Data Protection, Equalities and Diversity, and Health and Safety requirements for office work.
