Job Description
Business Support Officer - 1 x 30-hour post (Grade 3)

Situated in North Worcestershire, Bromsgrove District Council and Redditch Borough Council share services. Worcestershire Family Hubs is introducing a new countywide model designed to transform the way we support local children, young people, and families. Our aim is to improve access to early help and support, empower local communities, and help make Worcestershire a great place to grow, learn, develop, and reach full potential.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a committed team developing services that will make a genuine difference to the lives of children, young people, and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • To assist in the development and administration of general office and buildings running procedures this includes staff bases, delivery venues and centres
  • To provide reception services (including telephone cover) at the Family Hubs for all advertised opening hours.
  • To provide administrative support to the team, Family Hub and partners as needed.
  • To assist with the administrative support of Volunteers and Peer Supporters
Skills & Experience
  • Excellent IT skills including but not limited to using Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel, and the ability to provide basic IT support to others.
  • Ability to relate to staff, partnership organisations, volunteers and community organisations in order to build and maintain good working links.
  • Experience of filing and general office and reception duties.
  • Understanding of Health & Safety Regulations at work, data protection, equality etc.
