Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review

Working 36.5 hours per week

We are seeking an experienced Business Support Manager to lead a business support team and help shape the delivery of the School Improvement Service within Children and Families.

This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring strong systems, effective processes and high quality support that enables the service to meet its statutory and improvement priorities.

The Role

You will:

  • Lead and develop a business support team, setting clear expectations and building a positive, high performing culture.
  • Design, embed and improve business processes and systems to ensure consistency, efficiency and good governance.
  • Work closely with School Improvement leaders as a trusted partner, supporting planning, performance and delivery.
  • Improve ways of working through better use of data, digital tools and streamlined processes.
  • Ensure the service is well supported, inspection ready and able to respond to changing priorities.

  • Experience of managing business support or operational teams.
  • Strong skills in process improvement, systems and governance.
  • Confidence working with senior leaders and influencing change.
  • A commitment to developing people and continuous improvement.
  • A practical, solution focused approach in a fast paced environment.
