Job Description

Business Support is key to the success of our Children's Services, our Business Support teams are there, making sure things run smoothly, so that our frontline colleagues can deliver for our families.

We have an opportunity for a Business Support Assistant for our Practitioner Teams, working within the Tamworth Business Support Team. This role is part of a wider business support team that supports the Children & Families directorate.

The role is a part time 20 hours permanent position and the hours of work are Monday to Friday 10am to 2pm.

You'll be predominantly office based in The Library in Tamworth.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide core business functions in addition to working closely with the team, including the social works, SEND Keyworkers and Family Help practitioners.
  • Have full knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and the ability to utilise the main applications.
  • Chase workers for paperwork to ensure work is completed to the required deadlines.
  • Input data in our database, sharing data and helping to ensure the database is up to date and accurate by cleansing data as and when needed.

In addition, there will be the opportunity to support wider generic office functions to support the delivery of all business support services.

The Ideal Candidate
  • Good communication skills because you'll interact with lots of people across the organisation and externally through phone, in person and email.
  • Good organisation skills and attention to detail, as you'll be keeping data updated and you will be working to deadlines.
  • A flexible approach to work as sometimes things can change, and so you'll need to be able to prioritise work and change tasks quickly.
  • A passion to always give the best service.
