Business Services Lead - Location: Flexible (UK based, with monthly travel to London office). Salary: £44,824 - £46,209 per annum (plus ILW, £3,344, if applicable). Hours: 35 per week. Contract: Permanent.

As Business Services Lead in our UK Resilience department, you'll play a vital role behind the scenes - enabling our frontline teams and volunteers to deliver humanitarian support when people need it most. You'll lead a multi-disciplinary team responsible for learning and development, business development, and operational excellence. Helping us work smarter, faster, and more effectively.
With a commercial mindset, you'll explore and support the development of new business models. Helping us deliver greater impact, improve sustainability, and make the most of our resources - all while staying true to our mission.

Responsibilities- Collaborating with the product and delivery teams to explore more sustainable and impactful business models.
- Supporting fundraising colleagues with insights and data to strengthen corporate partnerships.
- Improving our learning and development offer so teams are equipped to deliver high-quality support.
- Reviewing risk and compliance measures to ensure we're operating safely and effectively.
- Working with finance and procurement to make sure our services are set up for success.
- Working with colleagues across the BRC to keep business functions operating effectively, with agility and a solutions-focused mindset.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to make sound decisions that maximise impact.
- Experience leading diverse teams across functions like L&D, business planning, and assurance.
- A collaborative leadership style, working across departments and with external partners.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Confidence in navigating change and driving continuous improvement.
- Understanding of compliance, risk management, and quality assurance in complex environments.
- Ability to use KPIs and metrics to assess performance and guide strategic decisions.
- A UK-wide perspective and appreciation for the needs of diverse communities and teams.
