Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a placement student to join our London facilities team for a six-week period. The successful candidate will have a keen interest in developing their knowledge in this area. This is a paid opportunity.

Working under the direct supervision of the Facilities Team Leader, the Facilities Assistant will assist in the efficient operation of the day-to-day facilities duties which may include but is not limited to:Assisting with the everyday facilities and operations within the office, concentrating on meeting room configurations, and ensuring all IT equipment is working properly. Also working in the print and mailroom: replenishing stocks, distributing mail, and assisting with anything else that my come up.

The role

The job description is not exhaustive, and the post holder may be required to undertake additional duties from time to time to assist with the smooth running of the London management services team. Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with the set-up of conference rooms
  • Storage, replenishment and distribution of supplies, furniture repair and replacement, key and lock repair and replacement, and repair and replacement of all non-Information Technology equipment and appliances (i.e. printers, coffee machines, vending machines, refrigerators, microwaves, dishwashers, water coolers etc.)
  • Print Room Duties
  • Daily floor walks to ensure the office is tidy and risk free
  • Assist within the Print/Mailroom duties when available
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by Line Manager
