We are currently recruiting for a placement student to join our facilities team for a 12 week period. The successful candidate will have a keen interest in developing their knowledge in this area. This is a paid opportunity.
Working under the direct supervision of the Facilities Coordinator, the Facilities Assistant will assist in the efficient operation of the day-to-day facilities duties which may include, but is not limited to, the following:
- Assisting with the everyday facilities and operations within the office, concentrating on Reception duties, setting up catering in meeting rooms and liaising with IT support colleagues when required
- Working with the Facilities Coordinator for any additional requirements
- Work alongside Print/Mailroom, replenishing stocks within the Printbays and any other necessary works.

The roleThe job description is not exhaustive, and the post holder may be required to undertake additional duties from time to time to assist with the smooth running of the Glasgow Facilities Team. Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with the set-up of meeting rooms (catering/furniture)
- Storage, replenishment and distribution of supplies, maintenance of equipment such as coffee machine, vending machine etc
- Manage all deliveries to reception ensuring correct processes are followed
- Order all taxis for clients and staff and ensure spreadsheet is updated
- Ensure reception maintained in an orderly fashion
- Book couriers as required
- Help with travel bookings/issues, covering when required during absences
- Floor Walker to ensure that all Printbays are kept tidy and well stocked- and ensure general office areas are tidy
- Assist within the Print/Mailroom duties when available
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by Line Manager
