Key Details
  • Age range of children / young people: 18+
  • Disclosure Check: Basic
  • Term of opportunity: 2 years minimum
  • Commitment: Volunteers must mentor a minimum of 2 young people at any one time and be involved in at least 1 mentoring session per month with each mentee.
  • Location: Volunteers must live locally to Liverpool and host meetings face to face in public spaces in Liverpool, and occasionally via MS Teams.
  • Closing Date: 23:59 on 30/04/2026
Responsibilities
  • Mentor young people 18-30 who have completed the King's Trust Enterprise programme.
  • Hold at least one mentoring session per month with each mentee, either online or in person at a King's Trust Centre or a convenient public location.
  • Provide constructive feedback, guidance and support to help them navigate early stages of business management.
  • Champion and encourage the young people in their work and inspire progress.
  • Represent the King's Trust in a positive and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Good knowledge of the fundamentals of developing and growing a new business.
  • Excellent communication skills; creative, flexible and non judgemental attitude.
  • Willingness to support young businesses outside your own industry or experience.
  • Live locally in Liverpool and be able to host meetings face to face in public spaces.
  • Commit to a minimum 2 year term and to mentoring at least 2 mentees.
  • Basic disclosure check, with no automatic exclusion for a criminal record.
