We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Business Lead Mortgage Acquisition & Retention to join our Home & Protection Tribe
The responsibility of this team is to offer ING's retail customers transparent and competitive mortgage loans in a profitable manner. Your aim is to ensure that we offer our customers the best opportunities to purchase their dream home. You also aim to minimize attrition by offering our existing mortgage customer solutions that fit their needs at any time (customer in life)
ING Spain has a strong growth ambition in Mortgages and in this position you will lead the commercial activities to achieve this ambition. You will steer your area and will have to look for alternatives to maintain mortgage market consideration, volume growth and profitability, both for customers and prospects. Part of your responsibility is to develop the pricing strategy and ESG agenda for mortgages.
Your key responsibilities:
As a Business Lead 'Mortgage Acquisition & Retention' you will:
- As a lead, you develop the craftsmanship of all your team, guiding and inspiring your team towards a common goal, fostering collaboration and helping individuals to reach their full potential
- P&L responsibility for Mortgages (shared with the Business Lead for "Mortgage conversion and underwriting")
- Improve the mortgage product with a full cycle mindset (including in-life) that meets customer needs at all times
- Develop, implement and refine a mortgage pricing strategy (incl. bundled products) in collaboration with Pricing, Finance and Risk, that support overall bank ALM strategy
- Be able to manage complex transformation programs to steer the mortgage process, income and customer satisfaction!
- Meet sales and efficiency targets through our internal and external distribution channels
- Help ING to get a step ahead in the mortgage regulatory environment
- Help ING to get a step ahead in the mortgage ESG agenda
- Design, develop and orchestrate the area priorities and roadmap, being on top of market trends and dynamics
- Closely follow the development of customer satisfaction metrics with a focus on constantly improving customer experience
- Challenge the status quo, promote initiatives and provide support to meet the goals set. Stimulate interaction between people, squads and transversal tribes working direct or indirectly in mortgages
- Together with the Tribe Leadership team, you are responsible for the definition, communication and execution of the product strategy and the execution of overall Tribe goals.
- Represent your area and extract best practice from other ING countries and relevant external stakeholders
- Develop Strategic partnership with external partners to further accelerate growth
- As a part of Tribe Leadership Team you will foster communication & alignment to contribute to a united & strong leadership team around the common goals of the tribe

Proven track record and technical skills
- University degree
- 5-10 years' professional experience at management level, experience/ affinity with the Mortgage area is a plus as well as commercial responsibility / pricing experience
- A good understanding of credit risks is very well valued.
- Sound experience in building strategic roadmaps.
- Experience in leading, driving and steering multidisciplinary teams.
- Proven experience in strategic projects with high impact.
- Strong command of written and spoken English.
