LOCATION:London, Bristol. Edinburgh, Leeds, Halifax or Chester.

HOURS:35 hours, full time.

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your time, at one of the above the listed hubs.

We're looking for a visionary and technically skilled Senior Manager, Business Intelligence (BI) to lead the evolution of our marketing intelligence capability at Lloyds Banking Group. This position is suitable for someone who blends extensive experience in digital marketing data, business intelligence, and data visualisation with strong leadership and critical thinking. About the Role

As a senior leader in the Marketing function, you'll be responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive BI strategy that aligns with BMX and broader business priorities. You'll lead a team of BI experts to design and implement scalable, self-serve analytics solutions using tools like Power BI and Tableau, enabling real-time, actionable insights across digital, CRM, and ATL marketing.

You'll bring domain expertise in data sources like Adobe, Google, CRM, and media agency platforms, and have hands-on experience with GCP. Working closely with the Platform team and Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO), you'll ensure our BI infrastructure is robust, future-focused, and aligned with the latest innovations, including generative BI.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive BI strategy aligned with BMX and marketing objectives.

  • Lead the design and delivery of self-serve analytics solutions using Power BI, Tableau, and other BI tools to meet sophisticated reporting needs.

  • Apply best practices for data visualisation to build accessible, insight-rich dashboards that tell compelling stories.

  • Bring SME knowledge of key data sources (Adobe, Google, CRM, media agency) and user experience with GCP.

  • Collaborate with the Platform & CDAO teams to deliver scalable BI infrastructure.

  • Partner with CDAO and other experts to ensure continuous upskilling of the team and adoption of new technologies, including Gen BI.

  • Lead and prioritise BI resource, balancing competing demands and aligning with strategic priorities.

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing BI team, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement.

  • Establish and enforce data governance standards to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.

  • Work closely with the Marketing team to define and monitor critical metrics, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of marketing effectiveness.

About you

  • Advanced experience in BI and analytics within a marketing or media environment.

  • Solid command of digital marketing data, reporting and performance.

  • Familiarity with ATL, Digital and CRM measurement techniques, including econometrics.

  • Proficiency in SQL, Python or R, and data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.

  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and experience with web and app analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, GA4).

  • Experience in embedding generative BI capabilities and real-time insights into business processes.

  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and prioritise.
