Business Information Manager

Role Description

The Business Information Manager at NI Water plays a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with Data Protection, Freedom of Information, the Environmental Information Regulations, and Records Management legislation. The manager supports the Head of Corporate Information and Data Protection Officer (DPO) by managing access to EIRs and FOIs, protecting and monitoring compliance of personal data, including subject access, under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Data Protection Act (DPA) 2018 and aligning with strategic planning (e.g., PC28). The role also involves extensive stakeholder engagement and day-to-day management of the busiest Information Management Unit in NI's public sector.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

1. A third-level qualification (e.g. degree, HNC/HND) AND a minimum of 2 years' experience in an information governance environment, supporting or delivering compliance with UK GDPR, DPA 2018.

Or in the absence of a third-level qualification

A minimum of 4 years' experience in an information governance environment, supporting or delivering compliance with UK GDPR.

2. Demonstrable experience and understanding of the UK GDPR and DPA 2018.

3. At least 1 years' experience in the delivery of training.

4. At least 1 years' experience, communicating complex messages clearly and accurately to a range of stakeholders.

Salary

This band 4 role offers a competitive remuneration package with a salary scale of £44,264 to £59,018 per annum (pay award pending)

The starting salary will normally be at the first point of the scale. Salaries are reviewed annually effective 1st April.
