Job Description

Reporting to: Sales Manager
Location: Huddersfield, UK. Office based / Hybrid
Hours of work: 37.5 per week Monday to Friday.
Start date: To be agreed

You will be responsible for developing the business side of an organisation looking at non-automotive opportunities as well as automotive.

You will also identify rising business opportunities and build long-term relationships with prospects that are needed to increase company revenue and maximize profits.

Responsibilities
  • Understanding of non-automotive and automotive markets and requirements.
  • Source and develop new sales opportunities and markets suitable for Forteq UK.
  • Achieve sales targets for new business awards.
  • Follow up new business opportunities and build relationships.
  • Generate costing proposals using standard cost workbooks for approval.
  • Plan and prepare presentations.
  • Communicate new product developments to prospective clients.
  • Research emerging trends, direct marketing activities, and manage existing alliances
  • Oversee the development of marketing literature.
  • Report and present sales figures and new work at monthly sales meetings.
Experience
  • Extensive experience working in business development within non-automotive industry (Engineering background is a plus).
  • In depth knowledge of Injection molding parts, processes and materials.
  • Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
  • Proven track record in finding and developing new customer accounts in the region of £1m / year.
  • Team player.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey ideas clearly and effectively.
  • Experience in business development strategies that drive growth and enhance client relationships.
  • Willing to travel extensively
  • 29 days annual leave rising to 34 (after 5 years' service) inclusive of bank holidays
