Our client, a well-established international food manufacturing business, is seeking to appoint a commercially driven Business Development Manager to support the growth of its ingredients portfolio across Ireland, the UK and European markets.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing division within a leading manufacturing organisation and play a key role in developing new markets, building strategic customer relationships and supporting long-term commercial growth.
Key Responsibilities- Drive business development activities across European markets.
- Identify and develop new B2B customer relationships within food manufacturing, food ingredients, pet food and related sectors.
- Build long-term customer partnerships and act as a trusted commercial contact.
- Present product capabilities, applications and value propositions to customers.
- Support the full commercial process including prospecting, proposals, pricing and negotiations.
- Translate technical product knowledge into commercially relevant customer solutions.
- Work closely with production, technical, quality and product development teams.
- Monitor market trends, customer requirements and emerging opportunities.
- Support product positioning and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Represent the business at customer meetings, trade events and exhibitions across Europe.
- Proven experience in business development, sales or account management within food ingredients, food manufacturing, pet food or related sectors.
- Technical, quality, food science or product development professionals seeking to move into a commercial role.
- Strong understanding of food manufacturing, ingredients or related product applications.
- The ability to communicate technical information in a commercial and customer-focused manner.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and customer focus.Experience dealing with international customers would be advantageous.
- Willingness to travel throughout Ireland, the UK and Europe.
