We are seeking a results-driven, professional New Business Executive to support the New Business team in securing new high-value training customers for SJA, through both direct sales and bids, converting them into long-term National Account clients.

Job SummaryWe are seeking a results-driven, professional New Business Executive to support the New Business team in securing new high-value training customers for SJA, through both direct sales and bids, converting them into long-term National Account clients.
This pivotal role is focused on generating new business revenue and achieving margin targets through strategic prospecting, relationship-building and working closely with the Bid team on new business tender opportunities as well as self-generated pre-bid pipeline building. The ideal candidate will proactively convert leads into qualified opportunities, with a strong emphasis on targeted industry sectors.
They will collaborate closely with their line manager to ensure a steady pipeline of high-quality leads while also sourcing and nurturing self-generated leads that align with National Account criteria.
About You- Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent), including Maths and English (minimum Grade C / 4, 5 GCSEs overall).
- Demonstrable experience achieving new business targets within a B2B sales environment.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders in large corporate organisations, delivering high-quality presentations and managing leads/prospect pipelines.
- Strong commercial capability, with excellent negotiation, influencing and closing skills to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to manage performance, prioritise KPIs, and work effectively to tight deadlines and competing demands.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with strong IT proficiency in Dynamics 365, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook.
- Drive new business growth by identifying, qualifying and converting opportunities through outbound prospecting, inbound leads, networking and consultative selling.
- Support high-quality new business tenders, working closely with the Bid team and stakeholders to develop compelling pricing, proposals and presentations.
- Achieve or exceed revenue, margin and activity targets, maintaining accurate KPIs and reporting through Dynamics 365.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, delivering professional presentations to large national prospects both face-to-face and via Teams.
- Maximise account value through effective upselling and cross-selling of training courses, eLearning and supplies, while maintaining expert product knowledge.
- Ensure a smooth customer journey by representing the SJA brand professionally, working within pricing governance, escalating opportunities or risks, and handing over secured business to Account Managers.
