We're looking for an experienced Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Manager to join our Risk & Excellence team and lead the development of a modern, global Business Continuity Management (BCM) framework across the organisation.
This is a high-impact role with real visibility across the business. Working closely with senior leaders and reporting directly to the Head of Risk & Excellence, you will shape and embed a scalable BCM framework aligned to ISO 22301, ensuring resilience is integrated into everyday decision making, operations, and culture.
You'll play a key role in strengthening the organisation's ability to respond to disruption, from operational incidents to cyber threats while ensuring continuity planning remains pragmatic, business focused, and future ready.
The role also offers the opportunity to deliver immediate resilience improvements, including developing ransomware response plans, enhancing crisis management capability, and introducing organisation wide scenario testing.
This is perfect for a BCM or Operational Resilience professional who wants to take ownership of a strategic programme, influence senior stakeholders, and help shape how resilience is embedded across a global organisation.
ResponsibilitiesYou will lead the strategic design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organisation's Business Continuity Management framework, ensuring it is aligned to ISO 22301 and integrated into broader enterprise risk and governance processes. This will include establishing governance structures, delivering Business Impact Assessments (BIA), defining continuity strategies and recovery priorities, and implementing robust training, testing, and assurance programmes to ensure continuity capabilities remain effective and up to date.
Working closely with colleagues across risk, legal, compliance, technology and operations, you will ensure continuity planning is integrated with enterprise risk management and complements existing IT Disaster Recovery and Incident Response capabilities. You will also drive engagement across the organisation by delivering scenario exercises, strengthening crisis management planning, and providing clear reporting to senior leadership on resilience readiness, risks, and improvement initiatives.
What will help you succeed in this role? Essential- Proven experience in Business Continuity, Operational Resilience, or Risk Management
- Considerable knowledge of ISO 22301 and practical experience implementing BCM frameworks
- Experience conducting Business Impact Assessments (BIA) and developing continuity strategies
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders across multiple business areas
- Experience developing crisis management plans and facilitating scenario based exercises
- Understanding of the relationship between Business Continuity and IT Disaster Recovery
- Experience within legal, financial services, or professional services environments
- Relevant certifications such as CBCI or ISO 22301 Lead Implementer
- Knowledge of ISO9001 and integration with Enterprise Risk Management frameworks
- Experience developing cyber or ransomware response planning
- Experience presenting resilience reporting to risk committees or senior leadership forums
- Passion for driving a proactive risk and resilience culture
