We're at a big turning point at SGN.

The world is changing fast - expectations from customers, communities, regulators and our stakeholders are rising. Technology is moving quicker than ever. We need to catch up and then stay ahead if we want to be the best GDN in the UK. We need to make sure we're set up for success. We're already making great progress with a new CEO and Executive Team, a new COO function and we've just moved from five to nine regions in our Southern network, creating closer communities for our people. We've opened a Business Services Centre, giving everyone easier access to the services they need, and we've brought in 550 new vans, with hundreds more on the way.

But this is just the beginning. We're focusing on three big goals:

  • Supporting our frontline first
  • Cutting waste, not corners
  • Working smarter, together

We've already started work on a five-year programme that will help us achieve our goals, and our journey will continue over the next 3-4 years.

We're now offering fantastic opportunities for colleagues to help us on this exciting journey.

The Change Analyst supports the successful delivery of change initiatives by maintaining change data, supporting reporting and analysis, and contributing to engagement activities. This role is key to ensuring visibility of change impacts and readiness across the COO transformation portfolio.

We deliver safety, warmth, and comfort to homes and businesses. Every role, whether in the office or on the front line, plays a key part in this mission. Here's how you will contribute

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Change Analyst to support the delivery of change initiatives that drive business transformation. Working within a dynamic change and transformation team, you will play a key role in analysing change impacts, supporting communication and engagement plans, and helping to ensure business readiness and smooth adoption of new processes, systems, or behaviours.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about enabling positive change, with a strong focus on people, process, and communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and execution of change management activities across projects and programmes.
  • Conduct change impact assessments to identify and analyse how changes will affect people, processes, and systems.
  • Assist in developing change plans, communication materials, and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Work closely with business areas to support readiness assessments, training needs analysis, and user adoption activities.
  • Track and monitor change activities, risks, and issues, ensuring timely reporting and escalation as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of stakeholder maps and support the coordination of engagement events or workshops.
  • Support the preparation of change-related documentation, dashboards, and reports to inform decision-making and governance.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in a change management, business analysis, or project support role within a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of change management principles and frameworks (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR, Lewin's Model).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Comfortable working with data, producing reports, and using tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, or collaboration platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Teams).
  • A relevant qualification or training in change management is desirable but not essential.

Not sure you meet every requirement?

Research shows some people - particularly women and those from underrepresented backgrounds - may hesitate to apply unless they meet every criteria. At SGN, we value diverse backgrounds, experiences and perspectives.

If this role interests you but you're not sure you tick every box, we'd still love to hear from you. You might be just who we're looking for - now or in the future.
