Job Description
The Role 
We are seeking a dynamic and committed Teacher of Business & Economics to join our Social Sciences and Business department from September 2026.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging, challenging, and high-quality lessons across GCSE Business and A-Level Economics/Business (depending on specialism). You will inspire students to understand real-world business environments, economic theory, and financial decision-making.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing department with strong student uptake and excellent potential for further development.
Key Responsibilities- Teach Business Studies at KS4 and Business/Economics at KS5
- Deliver well-planned, engaging lessons that promote excellent student outcomes
- Develop students' understanding of economic theory, markets, enterprise, and global business
- Monitor, assess, and track student progress effectively
- Contribute to curriculum planning and resource development
- Support exam preparation through intervention, feedback, and targeted support
- Promote a culture of ambition, aspiration, and academic excellence
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge in Business and/or Economics
- Experience teaching GCSE and/or A-Level (desirable but not essential for strong candidates)
- Ability to make complex economic and business concepts accessible and engaging
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A commitment to high expectations and student achievement
- A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to department growth
