The role offers a unique opportunity to work within the Cyngor Gwynedd apprenticeship program, gaining experience across administrative and community based services to promote independence using assistive technology.

Language needs
- Listening and speaking - intermediate level in Welsh and English; ability to hold a conversation on diverse topics and follow discussions in Welsh.
- Reading and comprehension - intermediate level; understanding of everyday correspondence and longer reports.
- Writing - intermediate level; ability to write letters, emails, and short reports in Welsh and English.
Purpose of the post
- Receive experience and support to complete an apprenticeship and gain qualifications in the field
- Provide a blended service combining administrative work at a desk with practical support in the community, promoting independence through technology.
Main Duties
- Support social services in meeting care needs and promoting independence of Gwynedd residents via telecare and assistive technology solutions.
- Combine technical and community work: installation and repair of telecare equipment, administrative tasks, and travel to appointments across the county.
- Shadow staff in finance, contracts, commissioning of care, and quality assurance units.
- Assist with scheduling appointments, handling enquiries, system administration, and managing stock and equipment.
- Support projects that promote independence such as direct payments and digital initiatives.
- Understand data handling processes and contribute to performance work.
- Follow Council policies on health and safety, equality, data protection, and carbon reduction.
