Business Analyst - Manufacturing & Supply Chain
Location: Athenry, Ireland (Hybrid - 2 days on-site per week)
Department: Manufacturing Supply Chain Operations
Salary: €70,000-€75,000
We're seeking an experienced Business Analyst to collaborate with operations, supply chain, and technology teams - analysing business needs, defining requirements, and enabling data-driven decisions that boost efficiency, scalability, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with stakeholders across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, Finance, and IT to gather, document, and translate business requirements into clear functional specifications.
- Break down business requirements into epics and user stories in JIRA, ensuring traceability to business outcomes.
- Support commercial readiness for the Athenry facility - ensuring new systems, processes, and equipment meet operational needs.
- Analyze existing processes and systems to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineering, and IT to align requirements with program goals and ensure timely delivery.
- Develop process flows, acceptance criteria, and business cases to support decision-making and solution design.
- Contribute to the implementation and continuous enhancement of ERP, MES, WMS, and other operational systems.
- Use JIRA dashboards to monitor progress, dependencies, and sprint deliverables across teams.
- Support change management and training initiatives to ensure smooth adoption of new tools and processes
- Ensure all business processes and documentation comply with FDA, ISO, EU MDR, and GMP standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Data, IT, or a related field.
- 10+ years' experience as a Business Analyst within manufacturing, supply chain, medical devices, or pharma (strongly preferred).
- Hands-on experience writing user stories, defining epics, and managing backlogs using JIRA or similar Agile tools.
- Strong working knowledge of ERP (SAP/Oracle), MES, WMS, and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Excel.
- Familiarity with automation, manufacturing operations, and supply chain planning.
- Exposure to Agile, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
