About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Building Surveyor to join our growing property management company. This is an exciting and varied role, focused on delivering high-quality surveying services to our clients.
With our continued expansion, we need a skilled professional who can manage a range of surveying services, from inspections and reporting to providing technical expertise and client consultation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct specialised building surveys, including:
- Damp/water ingress investigations (identifying causes and recommending solutions)
- Structural/subsidence surveys, defect analysis, and validation
- Rebuild cost assessments for residential and commercial blocks
- Insurance-related surveys and licence-to-alter reports
- Condition reports and Planned Maintenance Programs (10-year capital expenditure plans)
- Specification of works and occasional project management
- Prepare and deliver reports within agreed fees and timelines
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships
- Collaborate with internal teams to support property and project management functions
- Provide technical expertise and project management support where required

Experience & Qualifications
- Relevant qualification in Surveying and membership of an industry-recognised regulatory body
- Proven experience working independently and managing end-to-end surveying tasks
- Experience in a variety of building surveys, including block valuations
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant desktop/online software
- A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle (preferred but not essential)
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with colleagues
Benefits
- Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 (DOE)
- Hours: 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday - Friday
- Annual Leave: 20 days per year, increasing by 1 day for each completed year (up to 25 days)
