Due to continued growth, we currently have an opportunity for a Building Surveyor to join our established team in London & Southeast, delivering work within the Chichester and West Sussex County area.

Join us as a Building Surveyor to work with talented colleagues, driving innovation and excellence. Engage in varied projects across retail, health, energy, commercial property, education, and public sectors. In our multidisciplinary, collaborative environment, you'll manage client relationships while handling technical and legal issues.

Your Purpose:
  • Gain experience in building surveying on a wide variety of projects as part of a team.
  • Assist in compiling scopes of work and producing design information, including drawings. Contribute to project planning and execution. Develop understanding of construction technology and building services.
  • Attend design and construction meetings, working collaboratively on large-scale survey projects.
  • Assist in preparing KPI or project benchmarking information.
  • Liaise with senior colleagues to ensure technical deliverables meet client requirements and are delivered on time. Conduct site surveys independently where appropriate.
  • Manage your workload and undertake all tasks related to your training plan.

  • Working towards chartership or recently MRICS qualified Building Surveyor. Committed to the values of positive, professional, and collaborative working.

  • Ability to analyze problems and create solutions using technical knowledge. Effective communication within multidisciplinary teams. Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Flexible approach to work.
  • Strong attention to detail and sound judgment. Ability to produce clear, grammatical reports.
  • Full driving license and willingness to travel across West Sussex and other AtkinsRéalis offices as required.
