Building Site Manager

An experienced Site Manager to join a leading regional principal contractor on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a professional management team delivering a prestigious multimillion-pound new build commercial development in Sunderland.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of a high profile commercial project. You'll be responsible for managing day to day site operations, maintaining high standards of health & safety, quality, and programme delivery.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all on site activities
• Lead and supervise site staff, subcontractors, and trades
• Ensure adherence to health & safety regulations and company procedures
• Monitor site progress against programme and report to senior management
• Maintain accurate site records, inspections, and reports
• Support the wider project management team in delivering the project to a high standard, on time and within budget

Experience Required

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on large scale commercial or new build projects
• SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold card desirable), and First Aid certification
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to manage programmes, subcontractors, and health & safety compliance
• Previous experience working for a principal contractor preferred
