Building Site Manager

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the extension of an existing building in Bishop Auckland. The project involves a steel frame extension with associated groundworks, running through to completion in April 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

• Day to day management of site operations and workforce.
• Overseeing groundworks, steel frame installation, and general construction activities.
• Ensuring health & safety compliance and maintaining a tidy, safe site.
• Co ordination of subcontractors, materials and deliveries.
• Monitoring progress against programme and reporting to senior management.
• Maintaining quality standards throughout all stages of the build.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on similar projects (steel frame and groundworks essential).
• Valid SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certifications.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage schedules, budgets and subcontractor performance.
