Building Services Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical Bias)

Our Estate Facilities and Scientific Services team are recruiting for a Building Services Engineer with Mechanical/Electrical bias to join our site facilities team, on a full time basis, contributing to the delivery of world-leading scientific research.
The main duties will involve the planned preventive maintenance and repairs of a variety of systems. The candidate will also complete a wide variety of multi-skill building services tasks as required.
Responsibilities- Carry out planned preventive maintenance and repairs of a variety of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Complete a wide range of multi-skill building services tasks as required.
- Qualified in Mechanical or Electrical engineering with NVQ or City and Guilds equivalent.
- Good relevant experience in a post-apprenticeship role.
- Basic BMS experience is preferable; training can be provided to support developing knowledge in these areas.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimum supervision.
- Broad range of mechanical or electrical knowledge and experience; good communication skills and the ability to make sound judgments and approach tasks logically.
Permanent full-time position of 37 hours per week. Salary up to £26,573 per annum.
