The post holder will carry continuing responsibility for a defined caseload, including the setting of standards of care, the assessment of care needs and development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care.
The post holder will provide advanced nursing expertise to a specific patient group and will contribute to the development of the specialty service as well as contributing to the strategic direction of nursing within the Trust. The post holder will ensure cost effective use of resources.
Main duties of the job- Experience and Knowledge
- Must have previous experience working at B7 (or above) Nurse Practitioner level
- Experience of service development and/or change management
- Audit and standard settingHighly developed specialist knowledge underpinned by theory and experience
- Standards of professional practice
- Experience of recruitment and selection

Person Specification Qualifications- RGN
- Sufficient post registration experience
- 1st level nursing degree (or working towards)
- Working towards speciality related MSc
- Counselling qualification
- History taking and physical examination course
- Oncology nursing qualification or experience
- Experience in a multi-professional setting
- Experience of liaising with primary health care providers
- Experience of running nurse-led clinics
- Experience of clinical supervision
