Job Description
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BREAKFAST COMMIS CHEF AT THE WESTIN LONDON CITY HOTEL

What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Sous Chef, you can expect your working day to include the following.

  • Set the standards with regards to preparation and presentation of the breakfast food offering.
  • Engaging and communicating with guests regarding the breakfast offering.
  • Manage your breakfast service and ensure agreed standards are achieved
  • To carry out any other reasonable task requested by a member of the management team, to enable the business to run efficiently and smoothly
  • To assist other sections of the kitchen in the production and service of food or the cleaning down of the section as and when required due to the workload
  • To maintain constant quality control of all food prepared and cooked ensuring it is to the Head Chef's and Restaurant standards.

To succeed in the role of Breakfast Commis Chef, you will need the following qualities and skills.

  • Understand and adhere to the company's rules and regulations on all policies and procedures such as fire, hygiene, health & safety and licensing regulations.
  • Ensure a safe working environment identifying potential hazards and taking corrective action.
  • Experience in a similar role in a 5 star hotel or a desire to learn
