Overview

Joining us as a Boots Healthcare Logistics Driver (HLD) is a great opportunity. You'll deliver first class care to those in the community who might otherwise never visit a Boots store. You'll be part of a unique service that prioritises the patient behind the parcel; this role offers much more than other delivery roles.

Responsibilities

• You will report into the Healthcare Logistics Manager and deliver and collect medicines from Care Homes, patients at home, GP surgeries and other Boots stores within an allocated route time.
• Build great relationships with store teams, care homes and GP surgeries.
• Follow standards, operating policies and health and safety procedures.
• Drive safely and legally.
• Keep your vehicle maintained and clean, reporting any damage or issues.
• Feedback relevant customer comments and concerns and make suggestions on how the operation can be improved.
• Be a proud ambassador for Boots Healthcare Logistics.

What you'll need to have

• A minimum of 1 year's driving experience.
• Able to read and interpret delivery routes and instructions.
• Enjoy following process and working at pace to achieve service levels and targets.
• Physical stamina and capability to work in a manually demanding role with heavy lifting.
• Comfortable using new technology.
• Calm in the face of unexpected changes or challenges.
• Comfortable in new situations and meeting new people.
• A genuine desire to help people and provide legendary care.

It would be great if you also have

• Basic numeracy skills
• Experience in a driving role
• Experience in a customer-facing role.
