Job description - Bookkeeper
I'm working with an accountancy practice that is looking for a Bookkeeper to support their clients and keep day-to-day financial operations running smoothly. You'll be involved in a mix of bookkeeping duties, helping maintain accurate records and contributing to an efficient, client-focused service.
Duties:
- Accounts preparation to CT600 level
- VAT preparation using various software systems
- Personal Tax preparation
- Communication of tax liabilities etc to clients via telephone, email or in person
- Be responsible for meeting deadlines and filing returns
- Clear communication of information with external bodies
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette in handling calls and queries
- Provide general advice to clients as required
Requirements:
- Proven experience in an Accountancy role, to include VAT, CT600 and Personal Tax
- Computer skills including Iris, Xero, Excel and Sage
- Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, ability to work autonomously and as a team member
- Ability to multitask, prioritise work and manage time effectively
- Strong organisational skills to maintain a structured work environment
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm (lunch 1pm - 2pm)
Experience:
- accounting: 3 years (minimum preferred)
Work Location: In person
