An excellent opportunity for an experienced MET Technician / Panel Repair & Paint Technician to join a well-established company.
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.
Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 Per Annum, Depending on Experience.
Location: Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, SY23.
Schedule: Monday - Friday.
About The Company:
They are an extremely busy National award winning BS10125 accredited site looking for candidates to provide high quality repairs to accident damaged vehicles, individuals must be able to work within a team environment to strict time constraints
About The Role:
The company are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, hardworking individuals with experience in MET mechanical/trim strip and refit and Panel repair/paint within the vehicle repair industry to join their expanding team. They are also welcoming applications with limited experience but is keen to get into the industry and have a passion for motor vehicles.
ATA or City & Guilds L3 preferred but not essential.
Repair/Paint techs will be required to:
Carry out all types of vehicle body repair/refinishing work using the appropriate method for relevant vehicle materials, in full accordance with professional standards of workmanship and vehicle road worthiness, including:

Repair panels

Pre-paint preparation
-
Priming and painting/lacquering/paint inspection
-
Any necessary rectification of defects
-
Cosmetic repairs
-
Polishing
MET Strip and Refit will require to:

Remove and refit Body panels and trims
-
Carry out basic mechanical strip and refit
-
Use simple diagnostic equipment
-
Identify and report all apparent other faults or other work that is found to be required or considered to be advisable in the interests of safety and/or reliability

Identify and utilise the correct methods of work by using your experience, skills, training, and industry knowledge, referring to the available technical information where appropriate

Complete all job related and other company documentation and administrative duties accurately and promptly

Work co-operatively with colleagues, suppliers and other parties as instructed.

Keep your industry skills up to date on an ongoing basis

Always comply with company policies and instructions on all relevant subjects, including general health and safety; personal protective equipment; security

Perform in a suitable manner any other tasks and duties that may from time-to-time be reasonably requested of you by the company's management
