AboutOPDC: Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation(OPDC) is the Mayor of London's statutory Mayoral DevelopmentCorporation - a planning and delivery agency established toregenerate the 650-hectare Old Oak and Park Royal Opportunity Areathat spans parts of three West London boroughs (Ealing, Hammersmith& Fulham and Brent).

OPDC's focus isto promote, organise and deliver the full potential for changegenerated by the £1.7bn Old Oak Common station, which will be theonly interchange between HS2, the Elizabeth line and the GreatWestern mainline - bringing rapid new connections to Birmingham, toCentral London, Canary Wharf and Heathrow, and to the ThamesValley, Oxford and the West Country.

At its heart is the creation ofa revitalised urban district. With major new investment into thelocal economy, thousands of new and affordable homes, and atransformed public realm, the area will become a flourishing urbancommunity in the heart of West London. The Old Oak project withinthe OPDC area will create 9,000 homes and 11,000 jobs across70-acres of publicly owned land. As we move from ourplanning phase into large-scale delivery, this is a uniqueopportunity to be part of one of the UK's most substantial andexciting regeneration projects.

Aboutthe Role: As a Board member you will providestrategic oversight, independent challenge and expert advice to ourexecutive team; monitor financial and operational performance; andpromote the OPDC area as a prime location for investment, living,and working. You will foster meaningful community engagement,ensuring our plans and programmes truly reflect the needs andaspirations of our existing resident and business communities aswell as the newcomers we attract.

We are looking for four newBoard members with broad experience and expertise in urbanregeneration in all its interconnected facets but including atleast two of the following: real estate; infrastructure; urbandesign and planning; community and stakeholder engagement;sustainability; economic development; and institutional finance.

About the Person: You willbring a strong commitment to inclusive team working, be a clearstrategic thinker, capable of independent and informed judgement,with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You willuphold and model the highest standards of governance and publicprobity and have a tangible commitment to equity diversity,inclusion. We want a Board that reflects the diversity of ourproject and our city, and we welcome applications from those whomay be applying for their first non-executiverole.

Your will need to becomfortable and credible working with the executive team, otherBoard members and a diverse range of stakeholders, both locally andnationally.

The OPDC Board generally meetsquarterly, and Board members are required to join one or more ofour four committees. One of our new members is also likely tobecome a member of our Planning Committee. Board membersare appointed for a term of up to 4 years, at the Mayor'sdiscretion, and remuneration for this role is £14,000 perannum.
