Your MissionAs a BMS Commissioning Engineer, your core mission is to ensure the successful programming, integration, and optimisation of BEMS systems across a diverse range of buildings. You'll bring control systems to life delivering performance, comfort, and energy efficiency for every client.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out commissioning of BEMS systems (HVAC, lighting, controls) in commercial and industrial settings
- Configure and program sensors, controllers, user interfaces, and protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks)
- Conduct site assessments, functional testing, and identify optimisation opportunities
- Develop and follow commissioning plans in line with project scopes and UK regulations
- Resolve technical issues during commissioning and post-installation phases
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and internal engineers to ensure project success
- Produce commissioning documentation, including reports, manuals, and as-built drawings
- Deliver technical training and support to end users on system operation and troubleshooting
- Stay current with building automation and energy efficiency trends
- Contribute to process improvement and innovation across the BEMS team
- 3+ years' experience commissioning BEMS/BMS systems
- Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical systems, and building control strategies
- Confident working with BACnet, Modbus, and other common protocols
- Excellent fault-finding, communication, and documentation skills
- Able to manage commissioning schedules independently and work collaboratively
- UK driving license required
- Knowledge of energy efficiency and UK sustainability standards is a bonus
