Overview

Location: Silwood Park, Ascot (onsite)

CABI has a new and exciting opportunity for a biopesticide technician to work on fungal biopesticide studies, including insect efficacy testing, as well as supporting data inputting for the CABI BioProtection Portal.

Responsibilities
  • Work on the characterisation of fungal microbes.
  • Conduct insect efficacy testing and related laboratory activities.
  • Perform general laboratory work in a clean and safe environment.
  • Input data for the CABI BioProtection Portal and other project records.
  • Follow established protocols with attention to detail and maintain compliance with laboratory health and safety requirements.
Qualifications
  • Early career scientist with a focus on lab-based work.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow protocols.
  • Good knowledge of laboratory health and safety practices.
  • Ability to work with live insects.
  • Full training will be provided.
