Salary: Up to £42k pa (depending on experience)
A new vacancy has been created within our client, an international managed communications company.
The Bid Proposal Manager will be accountable for coordinating the Managed Communications' formal response to new business and account retention tenders. The primary focus is to ensure we submit a compelling bid on time and to the required quality standards.
Responsibilities- Managing and continuously improving the performance of the Managed Communications knowledge base by developing new content from scratch and on demand for bids, updating records with persuasive case studies, liaising with relevant departments and subject matter experts, re writing received content to ensure it is sales focused, on brand, and compelling.
- Co developing the win strategy and key themes for the proposal during kick off and storyboarding meetings, ensuring consistency and a well structured persuasive document.
- Working with key personnel to create cross functional project teams, producing project plans and related documentation, anticipating potential issues and re prioritising activities to keep tasks on schedule.
- Ensuring completed bids are submitted to the customer on time and in the required format via online eProcurement solutions and tender management portals.
- Evaluating the customer's requirements, developing a winning proposal strategy with the sales organization and internal subject matter experts, authoring the bid response, and liaising with sales, finance and pricing teams to complete commercial sections on time.
- Outstanding writing and editing skills; experience of business or bid writing preferred but other disciplines such as copywriting, editing and journalism will be considered.
- Highly organised, excellent communicator capable of extracting information from stakeholders and translating technical language into persuasive business writing with a clear sales agenda.
- Strong ability to focus on details while keeping overall project progress in mind.
- Teamwork, strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise multiple tasks to meet schedules.
- Comfortable working in a deadline driven environment and under pressure.
- Advanced Microsoft Office; Qvidian or SANT proposal automation software are advantageous.
