Bid Manager
Our client, a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor, is seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join their preconstruction team based in Sandyford, Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in securing major construction projects across sectors including commercial, residential, data centres, industrial and life sciences. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership, tender management and stakeholder coordination experience, with a proven ability to deliver high-quality bid submissions within strict deadlines.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage the full bid process from initial enquiry through to final submission
- Develop bid strategies aligned with project requirements and business objectives
- Coordinate multidisciplinary bid teams to ensure timely delivery of tender submissions
- Review tender documentation and identify key risks, opportunities and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with estimating, design, commercial and procurement teams to gather submission information
- Prepare and manage high-quality technical and commercial bid documentation
- Organise and deliver client presentations and tender interviews where required
- Conduct post-tender reviews and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor bid programmes, submission deadlines and reporting requirements throughout the process
- Minimum 7 years' experience within the construction industry
- Relevant third-level qualification in Construction, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Proven experience managing successful bid and tender submissions
- Strong understanding of preconstruction, estimating and project delivery processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems and tender portal platforms
