We are recruiting for a committed and resilient Behaviour Mentor to work within specialist SEND and SEMH provisions across Leyland and the surrounding Central Lancashire area.
This is a full-time, term-time only role, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm, with temp-to-perm opportunities available for successful candidates.
You will support students who may present challenging behaviour, helping them regulate emotions, engage positively in learning, and develop social skills. Building strong, trusting relationships will be key to success in this role.
Role Responsibilities-
Providing 1:1 and small group behavioural support

Implementing behaviour support strategies and plans

Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation

Supporting students to access learning effectively

Working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams

Minimum GCSE Grade C/4 or above in Maths and English

Available Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm (term time only)

Able to travel across Leyland and surrounding areas

Minimum 24 months employment references with no large unexplained gaps

Willing to apply and pay for an Enhanced Child DBS and register it on the Update Service

Calm, patient, resilient, and confident managing challenging behaviour

This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
