Behaviour Mentor - Gateshead (Full-Time)

Do you enjoy working one to one and helping young people stay on track? We're recruiting a full time Behaviour Mentor to work within a specialist setting in Gateshead, focused on engagement, routine, and positive behaviour support.

This is a role where your input can make a genuine difference-helping learners build confidence, improve behaviour, and re engage with education.

Your responsibilities
  • Providing consistent 1:1 mentoring and support
  • Supporting and implementing behaviour strategies
  • Encouraging positive routines and engagement
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with learners
What we're looking for
  • A calm, confident, and consistent approach
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Resilience and the ability to stay positive in challenging situations
  • Experience working with young people or behaviour support is beneficial, but not essential

This role requires an enhanced DBS check. The setting is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
