The IB is currently seeking an experienced individual to take on the role of Chief Examiner (CE) for its DP Mathematics: Applications and Interpretations course.
Chief Examiners work closely with Subject Managers to provide effective, reliable and continuous leadership of all assessment activities within a subject for the Diploma Programme (DP) or at the subject group level for the Middle Years Programme (MYP). The role demands the commitment of an experienced education leader with a strong background in the required subject specialism.
The duties of CE include contributing to assessment preparation and determining final grades of students.
Please note that this position is part-time, involves no relocation, and is usually undertaken in addition to existing work commitments.
You must:
- have a degree or equivalent in the subject (or a related subject) for which you are applying,
- have a minimum of one year's experience teaching the subject (or a related subject) for which they are applying to students of:
- 14 to 16 year of age (MYP)
- 16 to 18 years of age (DP)
- have previous examiner experience.
