Job Description

SME Consultant - BCBS 239 SME

£800-1000pd Inside IR35

London, hybrid 3-4 days on site per week.

We are currently looking for dynamic, resourceful and proficient individuals to join our Reg Practice as BCBS239 SME; you will provide strategic guidance and ensure regulatory compliance. The ideal consultant will offer deep knowledge of the BCBS239 framework, supporting its effective implementation across the organization's risk data aggregation and reporting processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert guidance on BCBS239 compliance to support strategic objectives .

  • Partner with consultancy firms to align regulatory initiatives with industry standards.

  • Assess and translate regional regulatory expectations (FCA, FSA, ECB, BaFin, SEC) into actionable implementation plans.

  • Act as the primary point of expertise on BCBS239 across internal teams and with external stakeholders

  • Champion best practices in risk data aggregation and reporting to enhance regulatory readiness and data governance.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive knowledge of BCBS239 regulations: This is essential as the expert will provide insights on compliance, ensuring the organization meets regulatory standards.

  • Proven experience interacting with global and regional regulatory bodies: Necessary for navigating complex regulatory landscapes and engaging effectively with relevant authorities.

  • Significant experience in risk management and compliance: Crucial for promoting best practices and ensuring the framework aligns with risk aggregation requirements.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills: Important for establishing authority and facilitating discussions with consultancy partners.

  • Experience with change management.

  • Advanced degrees or certifications.
