Barista

The Barista is responsible for delivering an outstanding Ralph's Café experience by preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining exceptional standards of customer service, and ensuring the café environment is safe, clean, and welcoming. This role supports the day-to-day operation of the café and contributes to building customer loyalty and maintaining Ralph's Café standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffees, teas, and other beverages to Ralph's Café standards, ensuring consistency, presentation, and quality.
• Create a warm, vibrant, and welcoming atmosphere for all customers.
• Greet customers promptly and provide excellent, friendly, and professional customer service.
• Make recommendations to customers, answer questions, and confidently discuss menu items.
• Coordinate beverage orders with other baristas and team members to ensure efficient and smooth service.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, audit requirements, and AP standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment.
• Keep the coffee bar area, equipment, and service stations clean, stocked, and organised.
• Monitor and maintain hygiene and cleaning standards throughout the café.
• Complete and maintain hygiene and temperature records, including fridge temperature logs and other audit documentation.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and respond professionally to customer feedback and concerns.
• Build and nurture positive relationships with customers to encourage loyalty, strengthen the Ralph's Café reputation, and provide an exceptional café experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of 2 years as a Barista or hospitality experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A friendly, positive, and approachable manner.
• Passion for coffee, hospitality, and customer service.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
• Knowledge of food hygiene, health and safety, and cleaning standards.
• Flexible, reliable, and able to work well as part of a team.
• Takes pride in maintaining high standards and delivering a memorable Ralph's Café experience.
