Goose and Gridiron
We are currently looking to hire a Bar/Café Team Member to join our vibrant and welcoming team at the Goose and Gridiron (Freemasons' Hall, Covent Garden).
Purpose of the Job:
The purpose of the job will be to greet, serve and look after guests while maintaining a friendly and welcoming environment in a busy bar and café environment. You will also maintain a clean and well-stocked workspace and dining area, update displays, and continuously expand your knowledge of food and beverage preparation methods, trends and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and serving drinks
- Creating a welcoming environment for a broad range of guests
- Keeping work areas, utensils and equipment and seating areas clean and well maintained.
- Properly handle and maintain all equipment
- Understanding and communicating information about our food and beverage offering, including allergen awareness
- Respond to orders, questions, concerns and complaints in a polite and efficient manner
- Receiving and processing customer payments
- Observe relevant health and safety standards
- Plus, any other reasonable duties
Skills:
- Excellent customer service
- Excellent verbal communication in English
- Good personal presentation
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Ability to learn new information quickly
- Physical ability to move boxes, stock.
Hours of work:
- Full time 35 hours per week.
