Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to join our unique 5 star luxury environment. This is a permanent role, 5 days over 7 days.

In conjunction with the senior F&B leaders, this position has responsibility for the smooth and efficient running of our beverage service in both our bar and lounge areas throughout the hotel. It may also require assisting in the dining room where required.

Main duties & responsibilities include (but not limited to:)
  • Work closely with and provide leadership to bartenders/mixologist, whilst maintaining and elevating beverage offerings
  • Keep up to date on daily menus and wine offerings to make suitable recommendations and answer guest queries
  • Maintain traceability of beverages, ensuring correct posting to rooms and proper equipment usage
  • Complete stocktakes as required
  • Ensure bar and pre dinner station is set (assist where required) and appropriate glassware and equipment are available and polished
  • Ensure menus are up to date, in good order, priced correctly with correct grammar and presentation
  • Plan, organise, control and review service systems to provide the best beverage service to guests
  • Ensure F&B team maintains high quality service to restaurant, bar and lounge patrons
  • Assist with opening and/or closing duties following all standards and procedures
  • Share knowledge with and train other staff on beverages, food, cheese and wine offers
  • Support the sommelier in organising the cellar, wine fridges and wine stocktake
  • Conduct wine and/or whiskey tastings with guests as required
  • Communicate effectively with all team members, promoting good working relationships and a positive culture
Desired Experience / Attributes:
  • Fluent English with strong communication skills
  • Professional, well groomed and presentable
  • Excellent knowledge of food & beverage including wine, whiskey, cocktails
  • A personable, charismatic and well rounded hotelier with supervisory & leadership experience within a luxury hotel background
