Bar and Restaurant Supervisor, Hotel du Vin

Location: Edinburgh

Employment Type: Permanent

Compensation: OTE up to £14 per hour (incl. tronc), flexible hours

About the Role

The Bar and Restaurant Supervisor will act as the face of the restaurant and bar, ensuring high service standards and a smooth, controlled dining experience. This role requires experience in a busy restaurant and/or bar, excellent people skills, and a commitment to guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the face of the restaurant and bar, ensuring high service standards.
  • Control staff flow and communicate with the kitchen and management to provide smooth dining experiences.
  • Manage shift patterns and flexible working hours.
  • Collaborate with team to maintain service quality.
Qualifications
  • Experience in a busy restaurant and/or bar, seeking next career step.
  • Excellent people skills and commitment to guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Training & Career Development
  • Nationally recognised apprenticeship training alongside detailed brand training.
  • Clear internal development path with potential progression to Head of Department.
