Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust (CLCH) delivers the Stroke and General community in patient rehabilitation service for Barnet as well as offering some step down and non weight bearing beds across the wards.
The units provide a comprehensive community based step down facility that supports patients' rehabilitation and recovery in a community setting, with an active therapy programme.
Ongoing assessments for those patients who are medically optimised but who require further assessments (typically Continuing Healthcare (CHC) assessments) outside of the acute setting in relation to their health and social needs and future living arrangements are also undertaken where necessary. All run a 24/7 service with nurses always present and doctors/therapists available in core hours.
Main duties of the jobThe Speciality Doctor will work within a multi disciplinary team of healthcare professionals including nursing staff, pharmacists, allied health professionals and medical staff. You will undertake a range of essential routine tasks under the supervision and delegated authority of the relevant senior doctor in charge of the clinical area in which you are employed.

Job responsibilities Person Specification Skills and Knowledge- Knowledge of GMC 'Duties of a Doctor'
- Experience of using SystmOne and ICE
- At least two years experience working as a Doctor in a rehabilitation setting
- Experience of working in the NHS
- Experience working with patients with frailty
- Previous experience working in a 'community hospital', rehabilitation service or frailty service would be an asset
- GMC registered with a licence to practise.
- Completed Foundation Training (FY1 and FY2)
- Two years post Foundation Training experience
- Up to date Resuscitation and Safeguarding Training.
- Compliant with CLCH pre engagement HR checks.
- MBBS or equivalent
- Full registration with the GMC and Licence to Practice (or eligible for)
- Speciality Doctor with training in relevant area e.g., Elderly Care Medicine, Rehabilitation Medicine.
- MRCP, DGM or equivalent
