What you will do:

  • Undertake specialist physiotherapy assessments and develop evidence-based treatment programmes for children and young people with complex needs
  • Deliver interventions across community clinics, schools, nurseries, and home environments, promoting functional development and independence
  • Provide specialist advice regarding mobility, posture management, orthotics, equipment, and physical handling programmes
  • Work collaboratively with paediatricians, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, education professionals, and families to deliver integrated care plans
  • Contribute to safeguarding processes, Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) assessments, and multidisciplinary reviews where required

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy
  • Evidence of postgraduate training relevant to paediatric physiotherapy practice
  • Evidence of continuing professional development in community paediatrics

Registration & Compliance:

  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) desirable
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures, clinical governance, and paediatric rehabilitation frameworks
  • Understanding of SEND legislation and Education, Health and Care Plan EHCP processes
