Job Description

Band 6 Podiatrist 1 post available (Loughborough)

Are you enthusiastic, flexible, and self motivated? Do you have strong communication, organisational, and problem solving skills? If you enjoy delivering high quality care across all areas of podiatry, we would love to hear from you.

Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) provides community health, mental health and learning disability services across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. With over 6,500 staff working across 100+ locations, we are committed to delivering excellent care to over one million people.

You will work across routine care, biomechanics, high risk ulcer management, and nail surgery. The role includes working in various clinical locations, attending meetings, providing domiciliary visits across the region, and travelling between clinics.

We are looking for a Podiatrist who is passionate about evidence based practice and keen to develop their clinical skills. You must be confident working independently and as part of a wider team, with good governance awareness and solid IT skills, as our service uses fully electronic clinical systems.

Main duties of the job
  • Assess, diagnose and treat patients in routine, biomechanical, and high risk clinics.
  • Provide face to face, telephone and video consultations, and perform nail surgery in clinic and for house bound patients.
  • Engage in rotational work in the diabetic foot clinic at Leicester General Hospital and support acute wards across Leicester's main hospitals.
  • Collaborate closely with community nursing teams and wider multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective care.
  • Work across multiple clinics with a designated base, fostering connections throughout the service.
  • Participate in projects, audits, research, student supervision, and leadership opportunities.
  • Support a treat to discharge model, plan treatments, and promote patient independence.

We are proud to offer strong professional support, regular clinical supervision and ongoing development opportunities.
