Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with statutory and voluntary agencies relevant to the role.
  • Undertake mental health assessments at police stations and magistrates courts for clients requiring forensic mental health support.
  • Liaise with stakeholders in the criminal justice system, including police, lawyers, and the Probation Service.
  • Deliver high-quality mental health assessments and provide comprehensive reports to relevant agencies.
  • Collaborate and offer expert advice to mainstream psychiatric services to ensure cohesive care for the target client group.
  • Participate in the creation of individual treatment plans and provide nursing interventions.
  • Administer medication when necessary, adhering to Trust guidelines and procedures.
  • Provide support and advice to clients' carers and relatives, enhancing the overall care experience.
  • Take personal responsibility for continued professional development and remain compliant with statutory requirements.
